Beyond the Sighting:
An Immersive Education

Full Days in the Field

We start before sunrise and spend full days (Days 3, 4, 5) in iconic Lamar Valley, using our scopes and network to track wolves, bears, and bison when they are most active.

Downtime to Recharge

We return mid-afternoon (when wildlife is less active) for you to rest, nap, or explore the town of Gardiner before our evening program begins.

Evenings with Experts

The adventure continues after dark. Enjoy catered dinners in a private space, followed by fascinating presentations from local wildlife experts—a feature unique to our program.

An Authentic Field Expedition, Not a 'Tourist' Trip

We Go Where the Wildlife Is

We focus your expedition on the Northern Range, Yellowstone’s wildlife-rich “Serengeti.” This is where the wolves and bison thrive, giving us the best possible opportunities for incredible sightings.

Comfortable, Modern and Safe

From our fleet of vans to our partner hotels – your excursion is carefully planned with your comfort and convenience in mind.

Get the Best View, Keep the Best Photo

Wolves are almost always at a distance, far beyond the zoom of a cell phone. We solve that. We provide high-powered spotting scopes for incredible, up-close viewing. Better yet, we record and take photos through those scopes and send you the files—so you can stay in the moment and still take the memory home.

Our founders, Dr. Nathan Varley and Linda Thurston, aren’t just guides—they’re wildlife biologists who met in 1996 while working on the original Yellowstone Wolf Restoration Project. We were here from the beginning.
